Welcome to Jeneral Plumbing ("we," "our," or "us"). When you contact us, you share personal information along with details about the service you need. Based in Westford, Massachusetts, Jeneral Plumbing primarily serves 23 towns across Middlesex & Essex County, with service available to nearby communities within approximately 20 miles of Westford; the current list is at jeneral-plumbing.com/service-areas.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with all applicable laws, including Massachusetts data security regulations (201 CMR 17.00) and federal marketing laws.
When you contact us or use our services, you may provide us with:
During an on-site Jeneral Plumbing visit, we may collect:
When you visit our website, we automatically collect:
We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics 4. See the Analytics and Advertising and Cookies sections below for details.
Vercel BotID, Cloudflare Turnstile, and the Upstash rate limiter protect the contact form from automated abuse. These controls operate independently of the analytics choice because they are used to secure the form and service. They may process the request IP address and browser, device, network, challenge, or behavioral signals needed to classify and limit abusive requests. Provider handling is also governed by the applicable Vercel, Kasada, Cloudflare, and Upstash privacy terms.
If you select Allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking, OpenAI advertising measurement, Vercel site analytics, Mailchimp's site connection, LeadTruffle inquiry tools, and Hearth's embedded financing calculator. These third-party tools and analytics or advertising storage remain off unless you allow them. They may then collect:
We use this information to measure our marketing, spend our advertising budget responsibly, and improve our website and services. We do not sell this information.
If you have allowed analytics and submit a contact form, the Google tag may receive your normalized email address and phone number for enhanced conversion matching. Google hashes that information using SHA-256 before matching it to signed-in account data and processes it under its Ads Data Processing Terms. If analytics is off, our site does not send this enhanced-conversion signal.
We measure advertising placed through OpenAI in two ways. First, if you select Allow analytics, an OpenAI measurement pixel (oaiq) may load in your browser and collect usage and ad-click attribution signals similar to those described above; it remains off unless you allow analytics. Second, when you submit our contact form, our server may report a single "lead created" event to OpenAI's conversions service so we can count which ads lead to real inquiries. That server event contains an anonymous event identifier, the page address the inquiry came from, and a timestamp — it does not include your name, email address, phone number, or message. You can email office@jeneral-plumbing.com with any questions about this measurement.
