Information We Collect During Service Visits

During an on-site Jeneral Plumbing visit, we may collect:

• Photos of equipment for documentation and warranty purposes
• Measurements and technical specifications of your plumbing or heating systems
• Notes about your property layout to facilitate future service
• Details about completed work and recommendations for future maintenance
• Audio from the visit and notes generated from that audio, only if every participant gives prior express consent. Recording is optional, and consent may be declined or withdrawn without affecting service.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect:

• Usage Information: Pages you view, links you click, and how you interact with our site
• Device Information: Your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
• Location Information: General location based on your IP address
• Ad and Campaign Data: If you allow analytics and arrive through an ad or marketing link, we store supported campaign tags (UTM parameters) and advertising click identifiers attached to that link, such as Google GCLID, GBRAID, WBRAID, Microsoft, Meta, or TikTok identifiers

Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party services that help us run our business:

• Housecall Pro: Manages our scheduling, customer database, and payment processing using PCI-compliant security standards
• QuickBooks Online: Maintains our financial records and processes tax documents
• Mailchimp: Sends marketing emails to customers who have opted in to receive them
• LeadTruffle: Provides website inquiry widgets and marketing attribution after you allow analytics; the texting widget also loads if you open it yourself from a Text Us control on the site
• Hearth: Provides the financing calculator and application experience; the embedded calculator loads only after you allow analytics
• Google Analytics 4: Helps us understand how visitors find and use our website
• Google Ads: Receives conversion signals — and, if you allow analytics, one-way hashed (SHA-256) versions of the email address and phone number you submit on our contact form — so we can measure which ads lead to real inquiries. See the Analytics and Advertising section below for details.
• Microsoft Advertising: Measures which Microsoft ads lead to site visits and inquiries. Its Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag loads only after you allow analytics and records the pages you visit. When you submit a contact form, our site sends it an inquiry event that contains no name, email address, phone number, or message.
• Vercel and Kasada: Vercel hosts the website and runs Vercel BotID, which uses Kasada technology, on the contact endpoint. BotID is an always-on security control, not optional analytics. Its Deep Analysis mode evaluates browser, device, network, and behavioral signals to classify automated requests before the form is processed.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: When configured, provides an anti-abuse challenge for contact forms. The browser obtains a short-lived challenge token, and our server sends that token and the request IP address to Cloudflare for verification.
• Supabase: Stores contact, lead, service, and authorized dashboard data in our database and provides dashboard authentication.
• Resend: Delivers contact confirmations and internal service-request notifications.
• Upstash: When configured, temporarily stores IP-based rate-limit counters for contact-form and anonymous page-reading requests to limit repeated automated traffic.
• Plaud.ai (AI-Assisted Note-Taking): Processes service-visit audio and creates notes only when every participant has given prior express consent. Plaud.ai acts as a contracted technology provider under its account security and retention controls.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or government request.

We may share your information for other purposes when you give us specific permission to do so.

Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads

Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads load with analytics and advertising storage denied by default. Before you choose, and if you select Necessary only, Google can receive limited measurements without those cookies, including consent status, page and referral information, and activity signals used for basic measurement and modeled reporting. Selecting Allow analytics enables analytics and advertising cookies and optional tools including OpenAI advertising measurement, Microsoft Advertising's UET tag, Vercel site analytics, Mailchimp's site connection, LeadTruffle inquiry tools, and Hearth's embedded financing calculator. If you open the LeadTruffle texting widget yourself, it loads to carry your message regardless of the analytics choice. With permission, measurement tools may collect:

• Usage Data: Pages you view, buttons and links you click (such as tapping our phone number), and how you move through the site
• Ad-Click Identifiers: Identifiers attached to advertising links, such as Google GCLID, GBRAID, or WBRAID and identifiers used by Microsoft, Meta, or TikTok, that help attribute an inquiry to a campaign
• Campaign and Referral Data: The page you first landed on, the website that referred you, and any campaign tags (UTM parameters) in the link you clicked

We use this information to measure our marketing, spend our advertising budget responsibly, and improve our website and services. We do not sell this information.

Enhanced Conversions (Hashed Contact Information)

If you have allowed analytics and submit a contact form, the Google tag may receive your normalized email address and phone number for enhanced conversion matching. Google hashes that information using SHA-256 before matching it to signed-in account data and processes it under its Ads Data Processing Terms. If analytics is off, our site does not send this enhanced-conversion signal.

OpenAI Advertising Measurement

We measure advertising placed through OpenAI in two ways. First, if you select Allow analytics, an OpenAI measurement pixel (oaiq) may load in your browser and collect usage and ad-click attribution signals similar to those described above; it remains off unless you allow analytics. Second, if you have allowed analytics and then submit our contact form, our server may report a single "lead created" event to OpenAI's conversions service so we can count which ads lead to real inquiries. That server event contains a submission event identifier, the page the inquiry came from, and a timestamp — it does not include your name, email address, phone number, or message. Anonymous Page-Reading Measurement

To find out which parts of our pages help visitors, our website saves an anonymous summary when you leave a page or move it out of view. It records which page you viewed and the week of your visit, how far down the page you scrolled (in 10 percent steps), the last section heading you reached, how long the page was on your screen, and whether you used a phone, tablet, or computer. It also records whether you went on to another page on our site, contacted us (by tapping a call, text, email, or booking link, or sending a form), or left our site. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It runs whether or not you allow analytics, including after you choose Necessary only. The summary does not include your IP address, browser details, the website that sent you, advertising identifiers, or anything you type, and we do not connect it to your other page views or to anything you submit. A random code made for that one page view lets a later update replace the earlier summary. We use these summaries only to improve our pages.

Your Analytics and Advertising Choices

• Site Privacy Choices: Use Privacy choices on this site at any time to allow analytics or return to Necessary only. Necessary only denies analytics and advertising cookie storage and disables optional measurement tools, including both OpenAI advertising methods. Google's limited measurements without those cookies and our anonymous page-reading measurement, described above, continue.
• Google Analytics Opt-Out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout to stop Google Analytics from collecting your usage data
• Ad Personalization: Manage or turn off Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com
